Tim Rudman - Client Services Director
Tim worked for two of the Midlands’ biggest advertising agencies for ten years on a number of high profile accounts including Bryant Homes, Computeach International, Shell and he managed the launch of Birmingham’s Pavilions Shopping Centre.
Tim joined Birmingham’s first commercial radio station BRMB in 1988, just prior to takeover by Capital Radio plc where he oversaw the station’s re-branding and co-ordinated all its marketing. Activity included the high profile Birthday Bonanza campaigns, in-house charity Cash For Kids, Walkathons and Party in the Park events, reaching over 250,000 people in its first five years. Tim was heavily involved in the station’s public and corporate affairs work securing relationships with the station’s key partners including Birmingham City Council and the NEC as well as media partners, notably Central Television and Birmingham Post & Mail.
Since 1998 until joining Urban, Tim has been a freelance Marketing & Media Consultant with projects ranging from media relations on BRMB’s first Two Strangers and a Wedding promotion (creating worldwide media attention and voted by PR Week as “the best ever PR stunt of all time”) to leading re-branding and re-positioning of Wolverhampton Airport from a general aviation site to a business aviation facility. He was launch consultant for new regional rock radio station Kerrang! 105.2 and produced the final Awards Dinner event for the Birmingham Film Festival. He is also an Honorary Vice President of the Publicity Association of Central England and is an LEA Governor at Thorns Community College in the Black Country.
